Our services

Individual Psychotherapy

We utilize evidence-based interventions and skill development techniques. Individual therapy may include grief and loss support, emotion regulation, anger management, childhood trauma, self-esteem building, self-awareness building, depression peer pressure, bullying, symptoms, anxiety symptoms, PTSD symptoms, adjustment issues, abandonment issues, self-care regime, coping with loss of relationships, sexual abuse, physical abuse, emotional abuse, and other behavioral, emotional, and/or psychological difficulties a person may be experiencing. Individual therapy is offered to children (ages 13-18), young adults, and adults.

We also offer parenting education sessions on an individual basis. Parenting psychoeducation is to assist parenting skill development in managing their child's maladaptive behaviors that maybe impacting the family household. Parenting psychoeducation is also to assist increasing parenting skill development in compliance with the SCDSS guidelines to increase the safety and well-being of children and their families. Referrals from the SCDSS Caseworker is required for all SCDSS open cases. A parenting assessment must be completed in order to participate in Parenting Education sessions for the SCDSS or another referring Agency. We utilize the Nurturing Parenting Program educational material as well as other evidenced-based interventions.

Pre-Marital and/or Marital Therapy

We utilize evidence-based interventions and skills development. Marital therapy is good for persons who are considering separation and/or divorce to help each partner work through communication skills, intimacy, trust difficulties, steps of building a healthy marriage, boundaries, blended family issues, adoption issues, financial difficulties, love language for couples, love language for marriage, love and respect, the seasons of marriage, past traumas that may affect a marriage, fair fighting rules, how to apologize, and/or marital expectations.

Family Counseling

We utilize evidenced-based interventions and skills development. Family therapy may include children, parents, grandparents, fictive-kin, blended families, non-custodial parent, significant others, and other non-household members. Family Therapy is beneficial for families going through separation, divorce, families involved with SCDJJ or SCDSS, parenting styles differences, co-parenting challenges, developing boundaries/rules in the home, developing communication, love language of children, and/or increase family cohesiveness. Family therapy includes at least 2 or more participants.

We also offer Family Counseling by referral from the SCDSS or another referring Agency. A referral is required from the referring agency and an assessment must be completed during the initial session.

Confidentiality and privacy agreements must be signed by each participate to ensure the confidentiality, privacy and safety of each participant. Virtual family counseling sessions maybe offered, with some restrictions.

Group Psychotherapy

We offer anger management, emotion regulation, adolescent groups (ages 13-18), time-management with self-care, career counseling, peer pressure, bullying, active listening/communication skills, and other interventions geared to address client’s needs. We utilize evidenced-based interventions and psychoeducation in all sessions. 

We also offer parenting education sessions on a group setting. Initial Diagnostic Assessments are required for all and must be in-person only (no virtual, telephone, and/or video assessment):

  • Individual Psychotherapy

  • Group Therapy participants

  • Family Therapy participants

  • Employment Assistant Program (EAP) referrals

  • Insurance coverage participants

  • Agency Referrals (SCDSS, SCDJJ, etc.)

    Assessments may take up to 2 hours to complete, depending upon referral, presenting concerns, additional assessments, the number of participants, etc.
